Sliema is one of the island’s hubs with something different for everyone. It is a shopper’s paradise, a haven for food-lovers and a great place for leisurely walks along the promenade. Situated directly opposite the Grand Harbour and Valletta’s imposing bastion walls, it is also very picturesque with great views all around. The region has developed from a sleeping fishing village to one of the most popular residential and commercial areas in Malta.
Getting to and from Sliema is relatively easy with regular public transport options, including a bus service and a ferry across to Valletta. The long promenade leads to the pretty Manoel Island Marina in one direction and to the popular shopping and entertainment district of St Julian’s in the other.
Hotel Kennedy Nova is situated a few minutes’ away from the centre of Sliema and it is a pleasant walk along the seaside. Public transport is frequent and stops just in front of the hotel.
